Base Perks

  • Advanced Armor: Resistance: +40 Melee, +60 Missile.
  • Highlander: Defense bonus in hills; Bonus when attacking targets on hills. Passability: Hilly.
  • Demolisher: Bonus when attacking cities and forts.
  • Mountain Blood: Resistance: +20 Elemental Magic, +10 Death Magic.

Strategy

These guys are the closest thing other races can get to Trolls, and the only recruitable unit aside from Constructs that can get the Highlander perk.

Due to their strong armor they tend to be even stronger early game than Trolls, but fall behind later when magic damage become more common. You also have to give up the strong perk and gold production of a Dwarven Forge.
